Introduction and proposal form

The aim of this course is for me to:

• Enhance your enjoyment and appreciation of media and its role in my everyday life;
• Develop critical understanding of the media through engagement with media products and concepts and through the creative application of practical skills;
• Explore production processes, technologies and context; 
• Become independent in research skills and their application. 

 The unit will asses:

•           your ability to plan and construct media products using appropriate technical and creative skills;

•       your explanation of how your work creates meaning for audience/ users, applying your knowledge and understanding;

•           your ability to undertake, use and present appropriate research.

My coursework for AS media studies involves making a music magazine. For the coursework i need to complete a front cover, contents page and double page spread. This blog with log all my ideas and work to produce my magazine.

I will also be carrying out a preliminary task, this will be to make a suitable college magazine. This will benefit me as it will give me practice for the production of my final product.
