Basic deconstruction on a double page spread
This deconstruction is basic and it is identifying the conventions of a double page spread. This allows me to understand what i need to put into my own double page spread. Based on what conventions i chose to use, could depend on how successful my magazine is, therefore i need to think carefully and consider what effects each convention has on the reader to ensure my magazine is as successful as possible.

Deconstruction of contents page - Mojo
I also liked this contents page and it is a bit different, it has a cartoon strip feel to it. And i think it is really appealing. It is still quite a simple layout, with plain black text, which has been made bold on the sell-lines and page numbers, then the splash of colour, adds a contrast with the black and white. I also like how there is one image that standout from the rest and it is not in order i think is would be a good affect to use.
Deconstruction of a contents page - Q
I like the colour scheme and layout of this contents page, its simple but attractive. I also like how the main image from the contents page is still the largest image on the contents page. This is a feature i think i will use in my magazine. It shows that that is the main story line within the magazine and it shows its importance.

Deconstruction of a magazine front cover, Q- Lana Del Rey
I chose this magazine front cover because i liked the colour scheme, the bold red is very attractive. I also like the play on words 'Lana Del Rey so what's so bloody good?' which links to the main image. This language technique is going to appeal to the readers. This has given me ideas for my magazine, and how i am going to attract my audience although the main image is a very important convention of a magazine. It shows that there is other important factors.

Deconstruction of a magazine front cover, Q- Lady Gaga
I liked this magazine front cover purely because it was different. It perfectly represents the artist (Lady Gaga) that the main sell line is on. Therefore tells the audience straight away what the magazine is going to be on and what its going to be like. Letting the audience know whether this magazine is for them. I want to achieve this with my music magazine. I want the genre to be obvious. So the front cover stands out for the readers, they wont even need to read the sell lines at first to know whether they would enjoy the magazine or not.
